Field trip to the Zoo in a Blizzard!!!!!!!!!!

May 27, 2010

So Triston's class at school was scheduled to go to the Hogle Zoo the same day a huge snow storm was to arrive. The tried to reschedule, but it didn't work so we went anyways. It was only a 30% chance of snow or rain right no biggy!! Ha Ha!!! the joke was on us. When I hit I215 it just got darker and darker and then really crappy. I was in 4 wheel drive and still I had to drive really slow. The weather didn't really let up the whole time we were there. I took Zack with. So I had him, Triston and Jason ( a boy from class) The boys had a lot of fun. We actually got to see the animals that we usually don't get to see when we go in the summer, but all of the usual animals that we see, like the elephants, the penguins, the birds, weren't out. Jason got really cold around 12 when we stopped to eat lunch, so we all headed home.
I forgot to mention how excited Zack was about his map (like Dora's) He wouldn't even put it down out of his face long enough to look at the first few animals, the tigers. :)
