Another belated catch-up!!
October 27, 2009
Okay so here is the update from the last months. Got distracted with other things and didn't post.Jamie and Chad left their girls with us for an evening. This is Brinlee. We had Triston's school's skating night at classic skating so we took them with us. It was fun. Triston was the only one who really got out on the floor, but Lexi used the scooter by the tables and Brinlee was content to mostly "take care" of Danika :) Zack was all over the place. When he did get out on the floor he just ran into people.
This is Triston when we made him stop to eat. Look how sweaty he is. Gross right :p
Chris and I went to California for a work trip and then stayed a couple days at his Aunt and Uncles house by Riverside. His uncle Rick took us on a tour of LA most people don't see. It was a lot of fun.Forest lawn cemetery. They had some pretty famous people buried there. The coolest thing was inside ( where cameras are not allowed :() They do a little presentation and then reveal the Last Supper made from stained glass. It was huge. Awesome.
The hills were just covered with graves. It was crazy how big this place was. As we drove I snapped pictures out my window. They have all of the replica statues all over.
The Getty museum. This place was pretty cool. I would have never gone to these places if Chris' uncle hadn't taken us there. They had all kids of art. I really liked the photography section. The exhibit they had at the time was of a guy ( don't remember the name) who had gone to New york and paris and a few other places in the 50s and taken pictures of all kinds of people of different traits. Same background same lighting same everything. It was really cool to see what people did back then. From prostitutes to coal miners to firemen to housewife to everything. It was really interesting.
Cool plant of which I do not know the name.
Tree of rebar and flowers.
Cactus garden.
Chris and his uncle Rick checking out the view of LAThe temple in LA
Cruising in the convertible the day we were going home. It was hot so we didn't have the top down much.
First time for cereal. She hated it. Still does. Doesn't like anything I try. So different from the boys. When we were in California we went to Lego land and found this Bob the Builder set. They loved it. They were actually playing really well at this moment. No arguments.
This is Zack entertaining Danika. She adores him.

This is one of the costumes Zack wore last year. It was in with my Fall decorations so he of course had to put it on. He wore it most of the day. It was hot and was giving him a wedgie all day. But he didn't care. :)

Grandparents day. Triston got to bring his grandmas to school with him. It was a lot of fun for him. At the end they did a small program. I have a video, but that will have to come later.

These were just some outfits I found at Kid to kid and DI. I told them they could use them for dress up. We were looking for places to take our family picture and they just HAD to wear them.
Check out that hair. She has a combover and a mullet/tail. So funny.
Dani sleeping. I just thought it was so cute.
Zack was having a hard time waiting to open gifts so we went to Chris's work and had a little party in his office.
This was what Triston picked out for Zack. Of course Triston plays with it more than Zack. :)
The cake. He wouldn't make up his mind which train he wanted so I did three. Molly, Thomas and James. I ended up having to frost them twice. The first time all the frosting (which I made myself and was so proud of myself) melted off. I couldn't let him wake up and see that so the night before the party I made a new batch (extra thick) and refrosted them. Not fun!!! but it was worth it. He loved it.
The party was crazy. First one I have done with that many little kids. Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!Grandma and Grandpa Jensen came up that night.
Danika really liked this ball. It was the weirdest thing. It lit up too.
